geh mal in dein bios, und verändere mal die "APCI" -einstellung, sollte auf enable stehen (ich gehe davon aus, ein PIII hat das schon). wenn du glück hast, könnte damit dein prob schon gelöst sein. und dann fällt mir ein, hast du ne ati-graka? da gabs auch schon mal probleme mit ubuntu.
