kann kein Image aufspielen

Hallo zusammen,
bin neu hier, habe aber schon viel gelesen und die Suche bemüht. Konnte aber trotzdem nichts finden was mir weiterhilft.
Ich kann auf die kathi kein Image aufspielen. Der Vorgang ist mir soweit klar, USB-Stick mit Image mit der entsprechenden Ordenerstruktur. FAT od. FAT32 formatiert. Stick rein, Menütaste gedrückt halten und Box mit Hauptschalter einschalten. und genau da tut sich nix. Es steht "Kathrein UFS910" im Display, eine LED leuchtet (die leuchtet glaube ich so lange ein Knopf gedrückt ist) und das wars. Kein emergency gefolgt von update wies überall heißt sondern nada.
Ich habs mit insgesamt 4 verschiedenen Sticks probiert (mehr konnte ich am Wochenende nicht auftreiben) Das interresante ist das einer der Sticks von einem Kollegen ist der genau damit seinen UFS910 erfolgreich geflasht hat. Der USB-Port scheint grundsätzlich schon zu funktionieren, da wenn ich normal boote und der Stick angesteckt ist, auf dem Stick kurz die LED leuchtet und im Display auch USB angezeigt wird. Ich versuche das BC Image aufzuspielen.
Vieleicht habt ihr noch eine Idee.

Versuch mal folgendes:

Sofern du ein serielles Kabel angeschlossen hast, dies bitte abmachen.
Flash mal über den hinteren USB-Port, vollbringt manchmal Wunder.

menütaste schon gedrückt gehalten und überhaupt nicht losgelassen. Erst bis UPDATE im Display erscheint. Versuch auch mal den stick einfach in Fat zu formatieren und nicht in fat32, vollbringt auch manchmal wunder habe ich gehört.:hand:

seriell hatte ich nicht angeschlossen, hintere USBs habe ich auch beide probiert.

die Menütaste hatte ich beim einschalten bereits gedrückt und habe ich geschätzte 3 min gedrückt gehalten. Ich denke so lange sollte es nicht dauern oder ? FAT und FAT32 habe ich auch beides probiert. Ich habe mir auch von HP ein Tool runtergeladen mit dem man den USB als HD formatiert. Hat dann in der Datenträgerverwaltung als Partitionstyp MBR. War bei den Sticks vorher nicht so. Lustigerweise ist das bei dem Nonamestick mit dem mein Kollege seine 910 geflasht hat nicht der Fall. Der einzige Unterschied ist das er glaube ich eine "alte" und ich eine "neue" (<1 W standby) habe. Macht das einen Unterschied ?
Ich werde mir heute einen explizit bootfähigen Stick kaufen. Gibt ja hier einen Thread mit getesteten Sticks.

vielleicht waren es auch nur 2:36:14 :smile: ,
das täuscht manchmal wenn man vor dem Fernsehregal kniet und in seltsamer Haltung (man will ja auch die Activity-LED auf dem Stick im Auge behalten) die Menutaste gedrückt hält.

Ja, ich habe die Menutaste am Gerät und nicht an der FB gedrückt.

Hmmm, ist aber dennoch seltsam.

Wenn der Stick nicht erkannt wird, sollte doch nach meinem Wissen "no Folder" oder sowas am Display erscheinen.
Ich habe einen Stick der nicht anerkannt wird und dann erscheint solch eine Meldung, aber das dann gar nichts erscheint ?

Mal eine Frage, kann es leider nicht testen da ich auf der Arbeit bin.

Eigentlich sollte auch ohne USB-Stick bei gedrückter Menü-Taste eine Meldung am Display sein "emergency boot" oder sowas in der Art.

also grade mal von meiner Frau testen lassen (bin selbst ja im Büro).

Bei einschalten mit gedrückter menü-Taste ohne USB-Stick, das gleich wie mit USB-Stick also: "Kathrein UFS-910" im Display und das wars. Lässt man die menu-Taste irgendwann los kommt erst "Kathrein UFS910" und dann "willkommen" und dann ist er an.

Ist es eigentlich normal das immer als erste Meldung "Kathrein UFS-910" kommt? Folgt wenn alles in Ordnung ist dann "emergyncy boot" oder sollte wenn alles ok ist "emergency boot bereits die erste Meldung am Display sein ?

Demnach, wie ich das vorher schon vermutet habe, muß bei gedrückter Menü-Taste + Einschalten ohne USB-Stick was auf dem Display angezeigt werden. Ich glaube das zuerst was von emergency.... und danach update kommt.

So, wenn es bei dir nicht erscheint, kannst du natürlich lange mit dem flashen versuchen.

Jetzt eine Frage:
Woher hast du das Gerät, aus dem Internet ?
Mir kommt es so vor, als ob es evtl. ein reklamiertes bzw. zerflashtes Gerät ist und einfach wieder verschickt wurde. Der Händler hat gesehen das die Kiste normal startet und es ihm nicht aufgefallen ist und daher wieder normal in den Versand ging.

Sollte es so sein (mal schauen ob noch andere Lösungsvorschläge kommen), ist es auch kein "Beinbruch".
Du könntest den Kathrein mit einem seriellen Kabel über die Befehle "erase" löschen und das "Notfallimage" einspielen.
Damit bist du dann wieder auf der original FW 1.03 und kannst wieder ein anderes Image via USB-Stick flashen.

erase über seriell ok, muß ich dann das neue Image über USB oder auch seriell einspielen. Wenns das nämlich nicht war, dann habe ich das rom gelöscht und kann aber kein neues aufspielen.

Was mir noch eingefallen ist: ich habe alle möglichen Tasten beim Einschalten gedrückt gehalten. Nur um zu sehen ob da was passiert. auf der linke Taste (weiss auswendig nicht den Namen kam glaube ich "all images update" und auf "exit" kam irgendwas mit zwei Schrägstrichen getrennte Abkürzungen. Eine davon war ftp. Ist das ein Indiz das die Box schon geflasht ist. Original ist doch kein Netzzugang implementiert dachte ich?

Leider kann ich dir nicht sagen, was passiert wenn man die anderen Tasten drückt, habs halt noch nicht ausprobiert.

Das "erasen" geht nur über Hyperterminal mit seriellen Kabel.

Danach kannst du:

das "Notfallimage" -ist ja die FW 1.03- entweder mit dem "Configtool" recht einfach flashen, oder
halt manuell über Hyperterminal mit der Variante via USB-Stick bzw. nur über seriell -also ohne USB Stick- die FW 1.03 flashen.
Erst danach ist deine Box wieder fit und für andere Images bereit.

Schau mal unter "Wichtig" dort werden alle 3 Varianten beschrieben.
Ich selbst finde die Anleitung von Alborland37 super toll erklärt. Da kann man fast nichts mehr falsch machen.

ich habe jetzt mal den 910 mit der Methode telnet und tftp neu geflasht. Das Lesen vom USB-Stick klappt einwandfrei. Allerdings klappt das Update selbst nicht. Hier mal die Logdatei. Vielleicht fällt den Cracks ja was dazu ein. Danke.

Was ich noch nicht gemacht habe ist vorher mit erase die Blöcke zu löschen, das probiere ich jetzt gleich.

Hallo gandy,

mein Respekt an den Profi. Diagnose richtig! Ich hatte das Log so interpretiert das er mit dem ROM I/O Probleme hat. Aber mit einem anderen Stick gings dann. Der hatte dann beim ersten Mal no folder angezeigt, beim zweiten mal gings dann. Ich hatte also das Notfall 1.03 drauf. Mein eigentliches Problem daß wenn ich beim einschalten menu gedrückt halte nichts passiert habe ich leider immer noch. Ich wollt gestern eigentlich erst noch fragen, aber nachdem das Board so gut wie nicht mehr erreichbar war, habe ich es einfach probiert und mit der gleichen Methode das BC Image aufgespielt. Und was soll ich sagen: Alles bestens. BC läuft, erst mal ORF probiert, geht. Noch schnell neue K**s geholt. Alles hell!

Danke an alle die mit Rat und Tat (na ja eigentlich nur Rat :grinsend0296: )zur Seite standen.
